Are your advertised items really available on the showroom floor ?
Yes. How frustrating it would be otherwise. We may not have all the colors or fabrics available for every item, but we always make sure that we have several advertised furnishings in stock or on the floor. There are some rare occasions, particularly during a clearance sale, when we may only have one item remaining. It could sell the first day of the sale. But we would never bait and switch… it’s just not our way of doing business.
When you have a sale, is it really a sale?
Yes. We don’t mark up prices beyond the showroom floor tags and then mark them back down a week later to create the illusion of a sale. That has never seemed like a good business practice to us and one we avoid. Some of our sales, such as Summer and Winter, are reliable events that our customers have come to expect. We have them every year like clockwork and it’s a great way for us to clear out older inventory for new arrivals. There are a few exceptions to our sales.
Some manufacturers will not allow us to discount their product and are not included in our events. We may, however, have an opportunity to offer specials on those furnishings in the future according to the manufacturer’s schedule and terms.
Does Decorum Offer Financing?
Because of our good relationship with several banks, we get financing considerations that may not be available to all of our customers. We are happy to share that benefit with our patrons when we can. In a nutshell, if you make your monthly payments in full and on time, there is no interest charged. It’s that simple. There are stipulations so we suggest you talk with a Decorum associate for complete details. Many people find it the ideal way to get the furniture they need today, without the necessity of paying for it all up front.

Does Decorum offer interior design services?
Yes! Visit our showroom and meet with one of our furniture design team members. Our design team can easily assist with in-stock and showroom selections. They are also invaluable if and when you choose to special order because they know the availability and protocol to get your custom demands properly ordered and scheduled. We also make house calls to help you determine what furnishings and accessories will work best in your home or office.
What about delivery?
Decorum will help you to the fullest when making a new addition to your home. We operate with our own trucks and our delivery teams are professional, courteous, and fully qualified providing “white-glove” service. Delivery times operate within two windows during the day. Choose between 10am-2pm or 1pm-4pm. And as an additional courtesy, one of our team members will call you 30 minutes prior to their arrival. Upon arrival at your home, our team will assemble all merchandise in your home, where you need it, and remove all shipping, packing and building materials.
Decorum strives to provide the most effective way in getting your new furniture in your home, set up and ready to use. Some items come fully assembled, some require minor assembly, and others may require full assembly. We attempt to pay the utmost attention so that you may get your purchase in the most cost effective manner. Items that require assembly come with detailed instructions and essential tools required (although you may want to have a screwdriver on hand).
Deliveries are provided to the Hampton Roads community and many surrounding areas on Decorum’s own trucks. For orders outside the Hampton Roads area, we will assess the best means to getting your purchase to you. Along with our own delivery services, we ship via FedEx, UPS and other common carriers.
Local Hampton Roads Deliveries (Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Newport News & Hampton) for a one-time flat fee of $75.00 per order.
Can you guarantee a delivery date?
No but we make every effort possible not to disappoint our customers in any way. We bend over backwards in an attempt to make our deliveries reliable. We especially hate to waste anyone’s time waiting for delivery. Sometimes our trucks get caught in unavoidable traffic jams or a summer thunderstorm drowns out the route to your home. When that happens, we call you to notify you of a delay and follow up with a progress report for a revised delivery time. It’s rare that these types of mishaps beyond our control occur, but when they do, we look for solutions to stay on schedule.
